I’m not cheap, I’m frugal (that’s what every cheapskate says!) I don’t mind spending money for something if I think I’m getting good value for it. I think most people are like that. We just don’t want to think that we’re getting ripped off.

Getting into whiskey is overwhelming. There’s a lot to learn – odd terms, many different regions and types. Your intro to scotch is usually met with unpronounceable names like ‘Laphroaig’ and don’t me started about whether it’s ‘whiskey’ or ‘whisky’. It’s financially challenging and easy to feel like you’re wasting your money. So over the next few posts, I’ll make some suggestions for people in any tax bracket to start enjoying whiskey without breaking the bank.
